Mark B & Blade – The Unknown Launch
Back at the beginning of 2001 Blade teamed up with producer Mark B to release the biggest album of their careers to date.
Mark B & Blade – The Unknown Launch Pt.2
The concert was so big we had to divide it into two files, so here you can pick up on part two of the The Unknown Launch Party at London's LA2 venue. Featuring Blade supported by Defisis this is one gig you will be sorry you missed.
Justice
Justice was a label originally started by Tim Westwood. There might have been one more General Levy 12 on Justice but so far we think the label in its original incarnation was limited to only four releases.
Bare Records
Top notch UK Hip Hop all produced and cut up by Jabba Tha Kut feat. 2 of the best up and coming emcees, 'Salvo' and 'Suicyde'... Jabba also produces beats for Blade / Micall Parknsun / Dubbledge / Kashmere / Suicyde etc. Peep also: http://jabbathakut.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.UK
Stonegroove
Stonegroove Recordings was Mr Lawson's label for licensing some of the hottest tunes of the moment.
Boot Records
Boot Records was formed in 1999. They are a hip hop record label based in the UK that has consitently released high quality material.
Hijack – Daddy Rich [Video]
Hijack came out of Brixton, London in 1988 when they signed to Music Of Life, and they dropped their debut single, the now legendary, 'Style Wars'. Ice-T heard the group and promptly signed them to his label. Hijack were one of the biggest groups the UK has ever produced and this single Daddy Rich dropped in 1991 as the group were set to drop their stunning Horns Of Jericho LP.
Gunshot – Crime Story [Video]
Gunshot followed up their amazing debut with Crime Story an equally gritty track with just as much power and punch. This would be their last release with the original line up of members, but already the group had developed their own variation on the Britcore sound and left a lot of people shook.
Blade – Whatcha Waitin For [Video]
Blade is one of our heroes here, and so we are delighted to be able to show you this video of his from 1991. Blade was always hard hitting and this song Whatcha Waitin For is an exemplar of the harsh Britcore sound that was prevalent on the underground at that time.
